Solarpunk Co-op & Multiplayer Guide

Solarpunk is one of the best co-op survival-craft games of 2026 — no PvP, no raids, just 2-4 players building, farming, and exploring together. This guide covers hosting, joining, and the role system most successful co-op teams use.

How to Host a Co-op Game

  1. From the main menu, choose Host Co-op.
  2. Set the world seed (any name — it does not affect gameplay).
  3. Choose Public for random joiners, or Friends-Only for invite-only.
  4. Share the 6-digit room code from the lobby screen.

How to Join

  1. From the main menu, choose Join Co-op.
  2. Enter the host's 6-digit code, or pick a friend from your platform list.
  3. You will spawn in the host's airship at the starter island.

Cross-play is supported across PC (Windows), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

The 4 Co-op Roles

Most successful co-op teams self-assign one of these roles. It is not a hard class — any player can do anything — but it cuts arguments in half and keeps production moving.

RoleMain Job
BuilderFoundations, walls, decor. Carries extra wood and fiber.
FarmerRuns the farm, breeds animals, manages food production.
EngineerWires the grid, sets up drones, handles power outages.
ScoutFlies the airship, scouts new islands, brings back ore.

Shared Storage & The Chest Rule

Put one central shared chest near the workshop. Label it "public". All trade goods and excess resources go in. Personal chests in each player's quadrant are private. The single biggest source of co-op arguments is "who ate my food" — this rule prevents it.
